on touring

hmm. well, i was going to update, but now i'm not so sure. seattle, olympia, corvallis, reno and chico. that's a bunch. hmm...

well, seattle was cool. we played at this club like 50 yards from the space needle or something, and there was a good turnout, shit was tight. i was all sick and shit, but whatever. the first band, the flux capacitors, were cute new wave punk rock. kinda fun, the dude a badass pointy black guitar with bat wings. we played next and ripped shit up. this guy came up to us after the show and told us that we are his new favorite band, which is pretty fuckin cool, and he's all stoked to bring his band to chico to play with us now. the last band, bristle, was supposed to be hella cool and shit, and they were billed as harcore punk rock, but actually they were kina lame. they were about diametrically opposite of what hardcore is, even when they were like 'this next song is our harcore song', they were still hella not hardcore. ah well. as for their sound, they were really generic i thought, and i was just thoroughly not impressed. i guess they're good at what they do though, which is play songs for durnk people in bars. that crowd digs them. also they're dicks about money. fuck them.

olympia was cool. we stayed with this dude tim who was in one of the bands playing 'hook and the daggers'. it was tim's birthday, so it was looking to be a bunch of fun. we played at this wierd little art place that had shows called the yes yes, and it was looking like 5 people were going to show up, and then we started playing (after an argument with the PAWNS about who was going first) and like hecka people randomly appeared from out of nowhere. the set was good, and i really liked hook and the daggers. they'll be coming to chico in february, and i'm pretty stoked to hear them again. we partied all night, but tim had to work at like noon so we all had to peace the fuck out. gruk got rollin a little sooner than everyone else, and we were on our way to corvallis, to play the show we had all been looking forward to... to be continued...
