Tour, Day 2

So, yesterday was day one of tour. we drove for like a thousand million hours, but finally got to portland after about 9 hours of travel. Dude! when we got to Rogue River, Oregon, which was our first pitstop, the four of us were standing around by the van, and this truck drives by, and this guy leans out the window and yells:

"Get out of town!" *pause* "Freaks!"

HAH!!! That shit was hilarious! I didn't know they still made people like that. crazy...

so we played at this bar called The Jolly Inn. pretty sweet. they gave us each four free Pabsts, which was also sweet. this dude with like enormous chops was the bartender, and he had a penchant for butt rock, which wasn't so sweet. so P.A.W.N.S. played first, they rocked. we played second, and this is how it went down:

before the first song: rachel's mic fucks up.
1st song: Scrib's guitar amp goes out.
2nd song: Scrib's guitar amp goes out again, AND Brad's bass amp starts HELLA smoking.
after wards: we use P.A.W.N.S. equipment, and i thoroughly butcher like 3 songs.

we finally finished the set, and it seemed like everyone was pissed off, so i went and chillaxed outside for a while, then i came back in and avoided my band and talked to zeke for a while, then i went back to the band and shit was tight again. i had to drive home, but yes, i did use all of my free drinks. sorry. i totally wasn't drunk though. 2 beers, rock and sweat, two more beers, over like 5 or 6 hours. also i drank water. anyways we drove to the altarboys house (they're the band that set up the show, and they were pretty rockin, except for having some sexist and homophobic lyrics) and partied there until like 4 in the morning. also: important sidenote- they sell 40s of PBR here!!! OH MY GOD!!! i had to have one. anywyas, today we drive to tacoma, washington, which is only like 2.5 hours, so we have plenty of time to find a music store and try and fix brad and scribs' shit, and also check out a record store, and also go to vegan breakfast (i hope) with P.A.W.N.S. and the Vals (band from holland - other band we're touring with). well, ima go finish my tea and see if my band is awake yet. don't know when i'll have internet access again, so i'll update when i can. peace
